The normal entry requirement for
the TESOL programme is one year's relevant experience plus a good, relevant degree.

College diploma in foreign language teaching, or a PGCE in modern languages.
The Certificate and Diploma must each be passed before
continuation to the next stage. The Advanced Diploma in TESOL may be obtained by those who
pass the diploma stage with a lower grade than that required to continue to the masters
stage.
You will be given the opportunity to take the Trinity
College Licentiate Diploma in TESOL at the end of the diploma stage (full-time) or at the
end of the first year (part-time). (Half the work required for the Diploma TESOL is
required for this qualification.)
TESOL Qualified Status (TQS) may be obtained if you
successfully complete the teaching practice element of the programme. This will be
governed by BATQI (British Association of TESOL Qualifying Institutions) regulations.
