 "Hi! My name is Joaquin Macias. I'm from Guadalajara,
Jalisco in Mexico. I'm 26 years old. For a long time, I was trying to find an
English school to improve my TOEFL score in order to apply for an MBA program. Here
in my country there are a lot of schools, but I was convinced that the best way to learn a
foreign language is to study in an international school. Kaplan was the best choice
for my personal expectations. I traveled to Westwood, California and took the
12-week program that includes a review of all the sections included in the real TOEFL
computer-based test. At the beginning my score was not as good as I was expecting. It was 523 points in the virtual reality test that Kaplan administers for all the students in the first day of classes. However, after a few weeks of practicing in the computer lab, writing a lot of essays corrected by my teacher and of course studying hard, I got a score of 587 (240) on the real computer-based test. It is important to say that the support and advice of all the teachers in Kaplan is an excellent support, and it makes you feel more confident at the moment of the real test.
