Introduce |
The General English Programme offers a range of English
Language Courses for international students. The full-time courses serve a variety of adult students needing to improve their
English skills for professional, academic or social purposes.
1. The General Course - three terms a year Classes are available from elementary to advanced levels. The morning programme concentrates on revision and expansion of grammar and vocabulary while developing all skills. Groups are small, with a maximum of twelve students;
the friendly, informal atmosphere promotes confidence and attention to individual needs. The additional afternoon programme gives more opportunities for communication and preparation for external examinations such as IELTS for university entrance.
2. English Summer School - in July and August Students can attend one or both of the two three-week blocks. After the concentrated morning language work, the afternoons develop language fluency, and include preparation for trips to Stratford-upon-Avon and Oxford.
Social Organisers are on hand to plan various social and cultural activities to suit all interests.
3. EnglishAcademic Skills Course - in September This three-week course is designed for those with intermediate skills and above who need to improve their language and study skills rapidly in preparation for academic courses.
